The Gift of Your Story, a Retreat at Shadowcliff Mountain Lodge in Grand Lake, CO

Monday, September 19 – Friday, September 23, 2022

Here’s an opportunity for reconnecting with all that is meaningful to you in a setting that caters to spiritual exploration and self-discovery.

Believe it or not, all of us hold deep wisdom, a treasure accumulated through many life circumstances and choices. We are all beautiful in that way. Through recalling and sharing our personal stories, we can tap into this place within, use it to discern the path ahead, and share it with those whom we love.

What gives your life meaning? What experiences have shaped you? What communities, large and small, have nurtured you? What is your connection to the natural world around you? Reflect upon and learn how to share this valuable material. The Gift of Story workshop weaves together a wonderful mix of simple writing techniques, personal reflection, and outdoor experience. Writing activities will focus on values and experiences that give meaning, with an option to share what you write. Optional outdoor activities will include exploring the beautiful Grand Lake area by boat, on foot, and perhaps by car (for wildlife viewing). There will be ample time to relax, either alone or together with new-found friends. Come on this amazing journey with us!

Accommodations & Dining
Guests spend nights in the cozy mountain lodge at Shadowcliff and enjoy a full course of activities planned by its professional faculty. Shadowcliff serves home-cooked meals from their kitchen in a family-style dining room. Special diets may be accommodated with notice.

Laurie Gudim will be your retreat leader. Her exploration of the spiritual from many perspectives and her love of people and their individual sacred journeys make her an excellent guide. Come be nurtured by Laurie and the Shadowcliff staff. Learn, rest, and grow.
