  1. You have no idea how much I needed your article “Speaking to the Soul: Awakening to who we are” today. Thank you so much! It’s amazing how caught up we get with our own lives (in my case my job and some of the people I work with) and how we seem to forget that first and foremost we are children of God and belong to Christ. And ultimately…what else really matters?

  2. Hi Laurie–I’m teaching a short online course on different ways to pray, and I need a reading for each of the forms of prayer the students can choose to investigate and practice. What would you suggest for praying with icons? Nouwen’s “Behold the Beauty of the Lord”? Another book? Or a couple of essays rather than a book? Thanks for your thoughts!

    1. Hi, Elaine.
Yes, I’d go with Nouwen’s lovely little book as an intro to praying with icons.
I would love for you to share with us the readings you choose for each form of prayer. Would you mind sending us a comment, so that they are posted here? And if you have a website, I’d love to link to it.
      Thanks and blessings,
      Laurie
